On Sunday 10/1 a group of twenty AGWA Illinois Chapter
H members, led by
Fritz Goins rode to Yorkville, IL for breakfast. The
weather was
absolutely perfect & the food was, as always,
guaranteed to raise your
cholesterol level and make your jeans fit just a little
bit snugger.
After breakfast, Fritz led the group through the countryside
to Dixon,
Illinois - boyhood home of Ronald Reagan (remember
him?). After gassing
up, we rode along the Rock River to Oregon, Illinois
for the mandatory
ice cream stop at Jay's Drive Inn.
When we walked in, we found Russ, Wanda and Dave Densmore
(AGWA IL
Chapter G) enjoying a late lunch and some "low cal"
ice cream. I guess
all great minds think alike (at least as far as food
is concerned).
After the ice cream, the group split up with some continuing
to ride and
enjoy the great weather, while others rode home to
watch the Bears beat
the Packers.
A perfect end to a great day!
Ride Safe!
